Solo Exhibition

2025 - The Sculpture Center (Cleveland, OH)

2026 - Taller Puertorriqueño (Philadelphia, PA)

This solo exhibition was awarded through the 2025 Revealed Emerging Artist Series at The Sculpture Center and was later presented in 2026 at Taller Puertorriqueño. The exhibition was also included in Radical Americana, a citywide initiative organized by The Clay Studio to commemorate the United States Semiquincentennial.

Mi Isla y Yo is a body of work that explores the journey toward liberation and autonomy from the perspective of a child born Trans in Borínquen. This work draws a connection between land and body, both forced into a struggle for control by powers that weaponize politics to criminalize and suppress their uniqueness. A flag once banned, a body subjected to government intervention, a land auctioned to the highest bidder; each fighting to maintain its inherent nature. Through imagery rooted in formative memories, I explore resistance through authentic existence, embodying the island that shaped me.

This project was supported, in part, by a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant, People’s Media Fund, Ruth Foundation for the Arts, and The William Penn Foundation
